Jan Vincent Meertens and/or Quetzal B.V (Quetzal), located in Amsterdam, is responsible for the processing of personal data as reflected in this privacy statement. This includes the website, training and consulting services managed or provided by Quetzal.

Quetzal processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself.
Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Address details
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Other personal data that you actively provide for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone.
  • The bank account number you provided to us to purchase a product or service from us

2. Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information about website visitors who are under 16 years of age unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify that a visitor is over 16 years of age. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at home@janvincentmeertens.nl and we will remove this information.

3. For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

Quetzal processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Handling your payment.
  • Sending our newsletter and/or advertising flyer.
  • Calling or emailing you if necessary to perform our services.
  • Informing you of changes to our services and products.
  • Allowing you to create an account.
  • To deliver goods and services to you.

Quetzal also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.

4. How long we keep personal data

Quetzal will retain your personal data as long as necessary for the purpose for which the information is processed, or as long as there is a valid reason to retain your personal data. For example, to comply with legal obligations, to enforce our agreements or to resolve disputes.

5. Sharing personal data with third parties

There are also a number of trusted third parties with whom we may share your personal information. This concerns:

  • Our advertising, marketing and promotion agencies to help us deliver and analyze effective advertising campaigns and promotions.
  • Third parties necessary to provide a product or service to you, such as a delivery or postal service to deliver a product you ordered.
  • Law enforcement or government agencies when they have taken legal action to ask us to disclose the information.
  • External suppliers of services to Quetzal, such as data processing providers. Web analytics tools, such as Google or BlueConic.
  • Social networks. If you are logged in to one of these social networks during your visit to our website, or communicate via one of the social plug-ins, based on your privacy settings, the social network may add this data to your associated profile on this network. If you wish to avoid this type of sharing of your information, please opt out of your social network before visiting or using our site. You can also change privacy settings if possible. 6. Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

Quetzal does not use cookies.

7. Viewing, modifying or deleting data

You have the right to see, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Quetzal and you have the right to data portability.

You may send a request to access, correct, delete, transfer your personal data or request the revocation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@janvincentmeertens.nl.

To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask that you send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, within four weeks.

8. Websites of other parties

On websites of the Quetzal, you may find links to other websites. Quetzal is not responsible for how those sites handle personal information. To do so, please read the privacy statement of the site you are visiting.

9. How we secure personal data.

Quetzal takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
